Autopilot

How Autopilot works

On the days you pick, Allen searches in the morning, writes the comments, emails you the plan, and posts them from your account a few minutes apart.

Autopilot is the hands-off way to use Allen. Turn it on once and Allen comments for you on the days you choose.

A typical day

  1. Early morning, at the search time you set (8 AM in your time zone by default), Allen searches your audiences and watchlist for fresh posts.
  2. It writes a comment on each one in your voice and keeps only the posts that pass its stricter Autopilot checks.
  3. It emails you the day's plan: every post, every comment, and the time each one will go out.
  4. Through the day, each comment posts from your LinkedIn account at its scheduled time. Comments go out five to eight minutes apart within two posting windows, mid-morning and mid-afternoon in your local time, unless you set your own hours.
  5. When someone replies, you get an email and they land in your Pipeline with a DM drafted.

You stay in control

  • The morning email and the Autopilot page both show every comment before it posts. Edit it or remove it right there.
  • Pausing stops new runs. Turning it off also cancels anything still queued today.
  • Disconnecting LinkedIn stops everything instantly.

How much it posts

You choose 3, 5 or 10 comments a day and which days of the week. For your first two weeks Autopilot caps at 5 a day, however you set it, so a new account ramps up gently.

What it costs

Each Autopilot run uses credits from your monthly pool, the same as a search you start yourself. Professional's pool covers Autopilot every weekday with room left for extra searches and extension comments. Basic covers three days a week.

When it pauses itself

Autopilot pauses on its own if your LinkedIn connection expires, if several comments in a row fail to post, if you run out of credits, or if a payment fails. You get an email each time, and it stays paused until you fix the cause and turn it back on.
