Turning on Autopilot: the three-step checklist
Autopilot needs LinkedIn connected, your voice trained, and an audience or watchlist. Then pick days, how many a day, and posting hours.

Open Autopilot in the sidebar. If it cannot turn on yet, the page shows a checklist of what is missing.
The checklist
- LinkedIn connected. Autopilot posts from your own account through LinkedIn's official API, so it needs your connection. Connect from Settings, Integrations.
- Voice trained. Allen writes every comment in your voice, so Train Allen needs at least your bio and a few examples.
- Someone to comment on. Either an audience under Prospects with at least one job title, or people on your watchlist under Connections.
Settings
- Days Allen comments: tap the days of the week. Weekdays is the default.
- Comments a day: 3, 5 or 10. New accounts are held to 5 for the first 14 days.
- Audiences: tick which audiences Autopilot may use, and whether to include your watchlist.
- Search time: when Allen looks for posts each morning.
- Posting hours: leave the default two windows or set your own, at least an hour long and starting after the search time.
- Time zone: used for your schedule, your streak and your emails.
Turn it on
Flip the switch. The first run happens at the next search time on a day you picked, and you get the morning email then.
Want to approve each one instead?
Leave Autopilot off. Allen still writes comments every day you press Run, and they wait on Today for you to post by hand.
