Question 1

What does the Chrome extension do?

Accepted Answer

It adds an Allen button to every post in your LinkedIn feed. Press it and Allen writes a comment in your voice straight into LinkedIn's comment box. You edit and press Post. It also adds a Watch button to profiles.

Question 2

Do I need the extension to use Allen?

Accepted Answer

No. Today and Autopilot run in the cloud without it, and work on your phone. The extension is for the extra posts you find yourself while scrolling.

Question 3

Which browsers does the extension work in?

Accepted Answer

Chrome, Brave and Edge, from the same Chrome Web Store listing. Not Safari, Firefox, phones, or inside the Allen mobile app.

Question 4

The Allen button is missing on LinkedIn.

Accepted Answer

Open tryallen.ai in a tab and make sure you are signed in, then reload LinkedIn. The extension refuses to run unless it can confirm your Allen login. If it still does not show, reinstall it from the Chrome Web Store.

Question 5

Do extension comments count toward my goal and get reply alerts?

Accepted Answer

Yes. They count toward your daily goal, streak and badges, appear in Analytics, and are tracked for replies like any other comment. Each one uses a small amount of credits.

Question 6

What does the extension read from my LinkedIn?

Accepted Answer

Only the one post you click on, at the moment you click, plus the profile URL when you press Watch on a profile. It does not watch your feed or read your messages.
