My payment failed
What happens when a charge fails, how to update your card, and what the emails mean.

What happens
When a monthly charge fails, Allen emails you, retries the card a few times over the following days, and pauses Autopilot so nothing posts on an unpaid account. Your dashboard shows a banner. If the payment is still failing after about ten days, the subscription ends and the account goes read-only until you resubscribe.
Fixing it
Open your Account page, press Manage Subscription, and update your card in the billing portal. Stripe retries right away. Once the charge goes through, the banner clears and you can turn Autopilot back on.
"I meant to cancel"
If the failed charge is for a month you did not want, cancel from your Account page now so no further attempts are made, then email support@tryallen.ai. A failed charge means nothing was taken, so there is nothing to refund.
Why the card might fail
Expired card, a new card number after a bank reissue, a bank flagging an online subscription, or insufficient funds. Your bank's app will usually say which.
