Refunds and billing questions

If something about a charge feels wrong, tell us. We look at every case and we would rather make it right than argue about it.

The short version

If you were charged and something about it feels wrong, email support@tryallen.ai and tell us what happened. A person reads it, usually the same business day, and we sort it out with you.

How billing normally works

Allen bills monthly in advance. When you cancel, you keep access to the end of the period you paid for and are not charged again. We do not usually refund a month you have already started, because you keep everything for that month. Our Terms say the same in Section 6.

When we refund

We refund when the problem was ours: a billing error, a duplicate charge, a trial that charged you when it should not have, or a fault that kept you from using Allen for a real part of the month. We have done this for people in each of those situations. If your case is not on that list but you feel the charge was unfair, write to us anyway. We are a small team and we would rather hear from you than have you guess.

How to ask

Email support@tryallen.ai from the address on your account with the date and amount of the charge, and a line or two about what happened. That is all we need.

Before a chargeback, talk to us

A chargeback takes weeks and can close your Allen account automatically. An email to support usually resolves the same question in a day, and we ask that you give us the chance first.

Trial reminders

To make forgetting less likely, you get an email three days before your trial ends saying exactly when the first charge will happen, and your trial end date shows in your sidebar the whole time.
