The watchlist: following specific people's posts

Add named people and Allen checks their posts every run. Add from Connections, a CSV of your LinkedIn connections, or any profile with the Chrome extension.

Your audience describes a type of person. Your watchlist is a list of actual people.

Why use it

The ten clients you want most, the partners who send you referrals, the podcast hosts you want to notice you. Searching the feed finds them sometimes. Watching them finds them every time they post.

Adding people

  • Connections page: paste a LinkedIn profile URL under People you're watching.
  • Upload your connections: export your connections from LinkedIn as a CSV (LinkedIn, Settings, Data privacy, Get a copy of your data, Connections) and upload the file. Allen adds everyone with a profile URL.
  • Chrome extension: on any LinkedIn profile, press the Allen button to add that person.
  • From Find leads or Engaged with you: each result has an Add to watchlist button.

How Allen uses it

On every run, manual or Autopilot, Allen checks the recent posts of people you are watching and puts them at the front of the queue. Today shows them in their own Watchlist tab. In Autopilot, tick "My watchlist" to include them, or untick every audience to comment on watched people only.

Limits

You can watch up to 5,000 people. On very large lists Allen checks a few hundred per run and rotates so everyone gets looked at over time.

Removing someone

Open the watchlist on Connections and press remove next to their name.
