Getting the most out of Allen

Using the watchlist as your Dream 100

Write down the hundred people whose attention would change your business, put them on the watchlist, and let Allen be there every time they post.

Your audience finds people like your buyers. Your watchlist finds the exact people. Most Allen customers who close big deals use both, and the watchlist is where the big ones come from.

Build the list

Open a blank note and write down the people who matter most: the ten clients you want this year, the partners who could refer you, the podcast hosts and newsletter writers in your niche, the former clients who moved companies. Aim for 50 to 100. Fewer is fine to start.

Find them

  • Known names: paste their LinkedIn profile URL on the Connections page under People you're watching.
  • Unknown names: use Find leads on Connections to search by title, location, industry and company size, then add the best ones with one click.
  • Your network: upload your LinkedIn connections CSV and Allen watches everyone with a profile URL. Prune anyone irrelevant later.
  • As you scroll: the Chrome extension adds a Watch button to every profile.

Let Allen work it

Allen checks the recent posts of everyone on the list on every run and puts them at the front of your queue. Tick My watchlist on the Autopilot page so it comments on them too. Because they are named people, Autopilot is allowed to comment on them more than once over time; that is the point.

The compounding effect

The first comment on someone's post is a stranger. The third, two weeks later, is a familiar name. By the fifth, they open your DM. That sequence is impossible to run by hand across a hundred people, and it is exactly what the watchlist does.

Keep it honest

Review the list monthly on Connections. Remove people who turned out not to matter, add the new names, and watch the Engaged with you tab on Pipeline for people who are already engaging with your posts; they belong on the list too.
