LinkedIn safety and your connection

What Allen never does on LinkedIn

No DMs, no InMails, no connection requests, no follows, no profile visits, no endorsements, no likes you did not choose, and nothing from a company page.

People sometimes assume Allen is a full outreach bot. It is not, on purpose.

Allen never

  • Sends messages or InMails. It drafts the DM and you send it.
  • Sends connection requests.
  • Follows people.
  • Visits profiles to leave a trail.
  • Endorses skills.
  • Likes posts you did not choose to like.
  • Comments from a company page, or on your behalf as anyone but you.
  • Comments on hundreds of posts a day.
  • Logs in to LinkedIn as you, or stores your password.
  • Reads your messages, connections or feed through your account.

Allen does

  • Post comments you approved, or that Autopilot wrote and showed you first, from your account.
  • Publish your own posts when you ask it to or at the time you scheduled.
  • Like a post when you press Like.

Why the line is here

Messaging and connecting at scale is where LinkedIn concentrates its enforcement, and it is also where trust gets burned with your market. Comments are public, so you are judged on quality and a bad one is just a bad comment. A cold DM to the wrong person at the wrong time is a lost prospect. Allen warms people up in public and hands you the DM when they have shown interest.
