Getting the most out of Allen

The 10-minute daily routine

What to actually do each day once Autopilot is on: read the plan, send the DMs, rate a few comments, and nothing else.

2 min read

Allen's job is to make LinkedIn take ten minutes a day instead of an hour. Here is what those ten minutes are.

Morning, 2 minutes: read the plan

Autopilot's email arrives after the morning search. Skim each comment. If one makes you wince, press Don't post this one. If one is nearly right, press Edit this one and fix a word. Then close the email. The rest posts on its own.

Whenever a reply comes in, 3 minutes: send the DM

Allen emails you when someone replies. Open the lead in your Pipeline, press Draft DM, read it, change anything, copy it, and send it on LinkedIn. Do this the same day. A reply is warm for about a day and cold after a week.

Evening, 3 minutes: rate and tidy

Open Today. Thumbs up or down on the comments that went out. Press Not relevant on any post that should not have been there. Move anyone you messaged to DM sent on the Pipeline.

Once a week, 10 minutes: look at the numbers

Analytics shows comments posted, replies received and pipeline value. If replies are flat after two weeks, the fix is almost always the audience, so spend the ten minutes on Prospects. If comments are getting removed a lot, spend them on Train Allen.

What you do not have to do

Scroll the feed looking for posts. Think of something to say. Remember who you commented on. Check back for replies. Allen does all of that. If you find yourself doing any of it, something in your setup is off; see the 30-minute setup guide.

Keeping the streak

The ring on Today tracks your daily goal and streak. It counts Autopilot comments, comments you posted from Today, and extension comments. The streak is there because consistency is the whole game on LinkedIn: a name that shows up every weekday gets remembered. A name that shows up in bursts does not.
